Marissa Goodspeed

Marissa was born with Golden Har Syndrome. She wasn't breathing when she was born. She was air lifted to Albany Med where they preformed a tracheostomy. Which she still has. Her jaw didn't grow out like it was suppose to and it pushed her tongue down in throat. They also had to repair cleft palate and cleft lip. She has had multiple surgeries on her jaw. Marissa is also blind in left eye and deaf in right ear. She has been through a lot and has more to go. On sept.7,2014 Marissa was riding a 4 wheeler and had a bad accident. The 4 wheeler rolled and landed on top of her breaking her pelvis in 7 places. She was air lifted to Albany Med where they had to put a screw in one side of hip and multiple plates and screws in the other. She was also covered in road rash. Thank god she was wearing a helmet. She is still no weight baring on her legs. Hopefully soon she can start walking.
