Dennis Michael Carr

Written by his daughter Chelsea:

My dad went through his first battle of cancer a year and a half ago, in July of 2014 and underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. Tests came back with no evidence of cancer. He was able to return to work teaching Technology Education at Oneonta High School in January of 2015. After a fun year of teaching and coaching football he received news in November 2015 that his cancer had returned, in his lung and spine, and underwent chemotherapy and radiation for a second time.

He loves to do wood work around the house, is a respected teacher at Oneonta, and enjoys coaching football and lacrosse. He is currently joined at home with his wife Susan Carr, children Josh, Chelsea, and Chad, as well as Chad's finance Brittany Shea. Thank you for choosing my dad as a recipient for the Polar Bear Plunge this year. We are very thankful.

Sadly, on Febrauary 11th, 2016, Dennis passed away. Our thoughts, sympathies, and love is given to this family in their time of loss.
