Evan Borggreen

 

This is Evan, he is 4 years old and was diagnosed April 5, 2015.  He has AAL Leukemia.  We lived in Albany Med for about 5 months as he caught a fungal infection on top of the leukemia. He got very ill, the fungas took over a lot of his internal organs, he even lost part of his colon. We are pleased to say at this time he is in remission but we have to continue to fight for about two and a half more years with chemo to make sure the leukemia doesn't relapse.  While in the hospital we still had lots of smiles and he tried to make sure other children were having fun too!
